Members of The Meadows' clinical team, in conjunction
with Pia Mellody, serve as consultants for The Meadows
Texas. Pia Mellody, Senior Clinical Advisor for The
Meadows and Clinical Consultant for The Meadows Texas,
Mellody House and Dakota, is known and respected as a
preeminent authority, lecturer, and educator in the fields
of addictions and relationships. Her work in
codependence, boundaries and the effects of childhood
trauma on emotional development has profoundly
influenced the treatment of addictions and issues around
forming and maintaining relationships. She is the author
of several extraordinary books, including Facing
Codependence, Facing Love Addiction, and her latest
book, The Intimacy Factor.

The Meadows has a long history in treating
addiction and trauma. Over the last 30 years, The
Meadows has evolved into a world-renowned,
cutting-edge treatment facility addressing a broad
range of behavioral issues. In the last four years,
The Meadows has opened two extended-care
facilities - Mellody House, Extended-Care for
Trauma; and Dakota, Extended-Care for Sexual
Recovery - on our main campus in Wickenburg,
Arizona. The addition of the Meadows Texas
further meets the needs of those seeking extended
care for addiction and trauma. Future plans for
The Meadows Texas include workshops and
educational training.
